Repashy Soilent Green – Algae-Based Gel Premix (Isopod Adapted Use)

Repashy Soilent Green is an algae- and plant-based gel premix originally designed for Aufwuchs (algae and biofilm)-feeding species. It has proven to be an excellent supplemental food for isopods, particularly those kept in humid environments where natural algae and biofilm growth is limited.

With its high content of spirulina, chlorella, and seaweed meal, Soilent Green provides easily digestible plant proteins, natural minerals, and beneficial pigments that support healthy growth, moulting, and colour development in isopods and other detritivores.

We usually just use the powder directly but below are instructions for gel form

Usage Instructions (for Isopods)

Mix 1 part Soilent Green powder with 3 parts water and stir until blended.

Heat until boiling (microwave or stove), stir again, then pour into a shallow container or mold.

Allow to cool and set until firm.

Once set, cut into small cubes or flakes. Place a small portion in the enclosure and remove any uneaten gel after 24–48 hours.

Prepared gel can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or frozen for up to six months.
