Our Springtail Culture Kit (Clay) provides everything you need to start or expand a healthy springtail colony. Each kit is prepared using our own custom clay mix, specifically developed to support long-term colony growth and moisture stability.

The fine-grain clay holds water evenly without becoming waterlogged, creating an ideal environment for springtails to feed, reproduce, and thrive. This kit is suitable for maintaining cultures used in isopod enclosures, vivarium's, and other bioactive systems.

How to Prepare the Kit:
Mix 85g of our clay substrate with 42g of clean, dechlorinated water. Blend thoroughly until the clay is evenly hydrated but not overly wet — the texture should be firm yet pliable. Once mixed, press the clay evenly into the provided culture container, leaving a smooth surface for feeding.

Usage Instructions:
Lightly mist the surface as needed to maintain a damp but not saturated environment. Feed with a small amount of Springtail Food Mix once or twice a week. Keep in a warm location out of direct sunlight and vent occasionally to prevent excess condensation.

Note:
Live springtails are sold separately. This kit provides the prepared substrate base only.
