Cork Bark – Natural Hide, Climbing Surface and Enclosure Enrichment

Cork bark is a lightweight, natural enclosure material ideal for isopods, springtails, millipedes, reptiles, amphibians, beetles, spiders, and bioactive setups. Its rough, textured surface provides excellent grip for climbing, while the curved and uneven shapes create natural hides, shaded areas, and small microhabitats within the enclosure.

It is especially useful for giving animals secure places to hide and explore, helping encourage natural behaviours while also improving the overall look of the setup. Cork bark is slow to break down, mould-resistant compared with many softer woods, and works well in both humid and drier enclosures when used correctly.

Cork bark can be placed flat, leaned against walls, buried slightly into substrate, or used to create layered hides and display features.
