Bee Pollen - Nutrient-Rich Supplemental Food
Bee pollen is a nutrient-rich supplemental food containing a natural mix of proteins, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. It can be offered to isopods, springtails, millipedes, and other detritivores as part of a varied diet.
I mostly use bee pollen as an occasional treat or as part of my own food mixes. A little goes a long way, especially in humid setups, so you do not need to add much at a time.
It is a great way to add extra nutritional variety alongside the main essentials such as leaf litter, decaying wood, moss, and other natural food sources.
Key Benefits:
- Rich in natural nutrients
- Contains proteins, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals
- Suitable for isopods, springtails, millipedes, and other detritivores
- Great as an occasional treat or ingredient in homemade food mixes
- Only a small amount is needed
Usage Instructions:
Add a very small amount directly into the enclosure, sprinkle it onto food, or mix it into your own invertebrate food blend. I recommend using it occasionally rather than as a daily food source.
Bee pollen is nutrient-dense, so avoid overfeeding. Too much can encourage mould growth, especially in warm or humid enclosures.
